GREENIE in SPAIN

Hi everyone!!
I am very happy to be in the Caton School, in Madrid, Spain.
Children take good care of me and we laugh a lot. I visit the classrooms  every day, because the English teachers, Rachel and Fátima,  takes me to the different classrooms every day.
All children ask for my story, where I come from, where I live, if I'm a fish ...

Greenie - Dancing with the ZUMBA-GIRLS from Baal (Belgium)

Hello friends,

On friday evening, the 23th of November, I went to the Zumba work-out with my new friend Sarah from Belgium.
There I met a lot of nice girls who were dancing with Sarah and of course I also met her Zumba teacher Lesley.
We've danced and sweat a lot. It really was amazing and very funny. Afterwards I was a little bit tired. I fell asleep in the bed of Sarah, and I had very nice dreams.

Wow, today a made a new friend. Jens Gruyaert from the Sint-Anna school at Baal (Belgium).

He has 1 sister, 2 chickens and 2 cats. One of the cats you see on the picture is Brick.

Jens told me that he found Brick when he was 2 weeks old. The kitten was in a plastic bag and he saved it.

In the evening we watched TV.

The days after I arrived, we played some games and we played in the garden.

 We had a lot of fun and while Jens was doing his homework, I was working on my blog.

I wonder what else I'm going to do during my visits in the other countries.

Greetings from Spain!!!! Can you see me???? I'm with the students in the 4th grade class!

First grade class

We had in our class a Spanish afternoon ' We looked at some art on Picasso. We told our own ideas about Spain. Examples: warm, great beach, good footballers, including mountains, far away from France, bullfighting, dance wear with beautiful red, black, white, ...
We all made a drawing about Spain. We watched and listened meanwhile some Spanish music and flamenco.
The teacher had good fruit wich we cut into small pieces (eg banana, pear, apple, kiwi, ZESPRI, grapes) We did this in a big bowl and the teacher mixed it with grape juice, apple juice and cranberry juice. After the playing time we could all enjoy a delicious sangria and meanwhile we learned some Spanish words.

Unfortunately for Greenie who came along much later a day in our class. He has helped in our narrative circle seated. He also discovered the letters in our new word: belly. We also liked the belly of Greenie. He took a whole day along in our class and found it very fun to play in our lego-angle corner work.

I am Senne from the Sint-Annaschool (Baal, Belgium). Last Thursday, Greevinie was our guest. We watched television and he helped me to light the fireplace. Together we eat dessert (chocolate pudding) and we played with the cats (Woef and Milky). Afterwards we went to bed.

Hello everybody,

Greenie was sitting with me and my sister in the car, on the way to the store,

and she didn't become sick!

She also has eaten delicious Belgian fries.
And she slept with me in my bed, and had fun dreaming about the weekend.We had fun playing together in the garden!
And we made a beautiful and colored drawing!
She found everything super fun at my house.

Everyone at home said Greenie was very cute and we shall miss her very much.

I am very glad I Greenie first could take home from school.

We went to my grandmother because my parents were still at work.

We played on the computer and we watched TV.

Then we went home and we have made homework.

After that we played nintendo, we read a book and then we went to sleep.

Greenie is a very cute doll.

She also met my dog Milo.

I learned about animals in the wood

Hello,

A few days ago I brought a visit to kindergarten, to the children of Miss Ellen.
They learned about animals in the wood, about birds and feathers.
The wood is very interesting, but I prefer to live under the waterfall. There I have a lot of friends and there I know everything.
The children were very nice for me and we laughed a lot. It was a pity that I had to leave too soon...

They learn a lot in the fifth grade!

Hello,

Today I paid a visit to the students of the fifth grade.
I spent there a few hours. It was great fun, but it was also hard work!
They learned about divisions. Luckily I knew my multiplication tables very well!
After we did maths, we ate an apple, because it was wednesday and that 's always fruit day.
Then we talked about a humpback whale. I thought it was very interesting, because he lives in the water, just like me.

Michiel, Senne en Maité from the fifth grade will take me to their homes now.
Exciting!!!!!

To the coast!

I went with Kaat to Middelkerke, that is a place on the Belgian coast.
There I met Jonas and Seppe, two other children from the school of Kaat.
Unfortunalety it rained. So we played 'Galgje'.

We are having fun, Kaat and me!
I can look how she paints.  We jumped on the trampoline.
I met her rabbits.  We went to the lessons horse riding.
And at night I sleep in a bed next to her.

Fantastic, I could spend a day at first grade teacher with Sabine.

First I could sit in the "telling a story" corner" , there the kids can tall what they experienced the previous day or during the weekend, what a busy kids!!!

It was great fun, the students learned a new word just read and write: belly. They searched and searched and found my belly.

 

 

 

I also liked to play and work in the Lego corner

 

 

Next time I'll tell what I have all experienced in the kindergarten

 

 

At home with Kaat

Today the holiday starts in Belgium.
I thougt that I would be left alone at school.
But I went home with Kaat for the holidays!  What a surprise!

A busy day!

 

Greenie visited the little ones of our school.

During the day, he had to do a lot of things in the first group of kindergarten!

First he had breakfast with the children, because he has to stay strong and vivid.

He liked the breakfast (bread with jam and orange juice) very much.

Then he played all morning with the children in class.

He had a lot of fun.

After he had lunch in school, he read a book and then...

he needed a little nap!

What a busy day!!

 

Hello everyone in Slovenia,

Today I have experienced very nice things . I got along with the gym teacher to the sports lessons to follow along.

What an experience that was. I thought it was super nice to just be along with teacher Ines.

Meeting the classes in Belgium

Hello my friends in Slovenia .......

I already had an exciting first week in Belgium. The children were enthusiastic to see me and I have already visited different classes to take a look.

First I came to Miss Caroline’s. The children were learning to wash their hands. The 2 ½ year olds washed extra hard because they know that I'm under the waterfall.

 

After that, I went to Miss Ellen and then I came to visit Miss Elisabeth. Miss Elisabeth sang with the children a beautiful song for me and they played small instruments. 

With the teacher Melina and the five-year kids, I came to know a lot about autumn in Belgium and see what is happening.

 

Next time I will tell you what I learn from the other teachers.

The children of the sixth class were very excited to meet Greenie.
They miss Bless a lot since she travelled to Madrid, but they think that Greenie is a very fine substitute.
They find Greenie very original and very nice made by the children and the teachers of Slovenia.
So they will take care very well of Greenie and will give him a nice time.
Hopefully he will have a lot of fun and he likes Belgium very much!
